Are Demons Real? The Bible details the casting out of demons in the ministry of the early New Testament Church as a common occurrence. There are those in the Christian Church today who readily acknowledge the reality of demons while others entirely ignore the subject.
Those who ignore the subject of demons may be afraid they will give too much glory to Satan if they acknowledge demons. Ignoring demons does not mean they will go away, neither does it mean they do not exist. The post-modern church must begin to acknowledge the presence of demons in order to help in the deliverance of those who are oppressed and tormented by them.
Jesus regularly cast out demons and encouraged his disciples to do likewise. After Jesus ascension, the Apostles carried on the practice of casting out demons in the New Testament Church. As we near the last days just before the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ to rapture His church, we can expect demonic activity to be on the increase. We must understand the tactics of the enemy if we are going to defeat him. Paul said, "We are not ignorant of his devices." He told us to be "sober and vigilant, because our adversary the devil walks about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour." He tells us we must seek to resist him steadfast in the faith.
I want to open this up for conversation? Have you ever been attacked or confronted by demons? Do you believe demons are real? Should the church in our age be involved in casting out demons? Do you have any experiences of helping to cast out demons?
Give me your take on this subject.
